Use it with Hybrid :Center

2

We organize the Hybrid Cloud into one virtual data center - Hybrid :Center. Manage virtual racks of virtual equipment : servers, disk arrays, routers, etc. The :Center comes with preconfigured VPN Tunneling, DNS and main gateway/router.

Select existing or create your own

Choose your Cloud Apps

3

Deploy Hybrid Cloud Apps (:Templates) as virtual servers or server groups. Use existing OS, Database, Web, Big Data, and other types of :Templates or create your own.

Virtual Servers

Picture an actual 1U server that you add to a rack, labeled 'MAIN' in your physical datacenter. Virtual server is the same and you add it to your virtual rack - a server group 'MAIN'. Server has a fixed size 1E-64E, which defines amount of RAM, CPU, Disk Size, Disk Speed and LAN.

Server Groups

Your virtual rack is a Server Group. You can manage it as one unit. You can Start a group, Stop, Snapshot, etc. You can create a custom :Template out of a group.

  • $ suba group stop data
  • $ suba group snapshot --name=sn02 data
  • $ suba group revert --to=sn01 data

Additional storage for servers

Virtual Disk Array

Each virtual server comes with a system SSD. It's big enough for the most applications. In case you need additional storage, you can add a virtual disk array. You can get one large storage bundle (it's also cheaper) as a virtual disk array and use it for additional disks for your servers.

Router / Firewall

Each Hybrid :Center comes with a public IPv4, default NAT router, and firewall. You can assign port forwarding to any of the servers. You can add more public IPs, each comes with configurable routing and firewall rules.

Virtual Private Network

All hybrid cloud zones, private and public, are connected through VPN tunnels into one virtual network. It is done automatically.

Integrated DNS

We are trying to make things easy and simple. So, server names are resolvable by the Integrated DNS. E.g. "web.main" resolves to the IP of the server "web" in group "main". "db.data" will point to "db" server in group "data".

  • $ suba server new web.main
  • $ suba server start web.main
  • $ ping web.main

Cloud Apps on your LAN

We design cloud applications to be portable across the Hybrid Cloud. An application running in a public cloud should perform the same or better in a private capacity.

Friendly command line

suba CLI

We are working hard on keeping things simple. Our goal is to have a simple structure with useful defaults to minimize typing. It's also easier to remember.

Structure similar to CLI

suba REST

suba REST shares the structure with suba CLI. If you know CLI command, it shouldn't be too hard to construct a REST request for it.

  • curl -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  • -H "Authorization: ... \
  • -d '{"id":"web.proto"}' \
  • -X POST "https://api.subarray.com/v1/server/new"
